Argentína on Barónstígur is Iceland’s premier steakhouse. The interior of the restaurant has not changed much since it opened in the beginning of the 90s. Hacienda style dining room with a large asador taking centre place where the steaks are prepared. The Argentína in spite of its name has always prided itself on offering choice cuttings of Icelandic meat – beef as wel as lamb. The Porterhouse is one of the best steaks available in Reykjavik.

The appetisers are usually innovative and the desserts classic – chocolate cakes, panna cotta or pavlovas.

Service is solid and the wine list reasonably priced with a nice selection of steak friendly wines.
