Maynnaise is a classic condiment which can be used in many ways and is an important ingredient in many sauces and salads. And why use storebought mayonnaise when you can make your own superquick mayonnaise?
It’s very easy to make your own mayonnaise and it takes just a few minutes – especially if you decide on using a food processor instead of whipping by hand.
This recipe is French in origin and contains mustard. Italian version usually contain no mustard used and they generally use olive oil while the French generally use a light vegetable oil or sunflower oil
- 1 whole egg
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 6 dl oil
- Juice of half a lemon (about 0.5 dl)
- salt and pepper
Put the egg, yolks and mustard in a food processor and combine. Pour the oil slowly into the bowl with the food processor on. The mixture begins to thicken very quickly. Add the lemon juice. Taste with salt and pepper.
